Therese Cannon (or Terry, as she likes to be called) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who practices cognitive-behavioral therapy and works with adolescents and adults. Also, strongly influenced by social-learning theory, she believes that a lot of the work in therapy is done not only in session but between sessions, as clients practice new behaviors and ways of thinking about life challenges. Therefore, homework assignments are an integral part of the therapeutic process.
Terry is a seasoned therapist who brings her compassion and a strengths-based perspective to her work with clients. She has worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, educational settings, and private practice. Her current practice has a primary focus on anxiety, depression, coping with loss through death or divorce, relationship counseling, and stage-of-life issues.
Terry's office hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
